CLOSINGMODE

The thesis

Commercial context and control for agent-led negotiation.

CLOSINGMODE begins with a simple workflow: a buyer brief in, an approval-ready next action out. The longer-term opportunity is to carry the seller’s context, rules, and authority as more negotiation becomes agent-led.

Negotiation is the next thing to be automated

RTB automated the impression; the negotiated deal is being automated now. Sales agents — the seller’s, and increasingly the buyer’s — can already generate proposals, counters, and follow-ups. Generation is not the hard part. Knowing whether a proposed action is commercially sound — truthful, available, authorized, profitable, compliant — and who is accountable for it, is.

As agents take on more commercial work, sellers need a separate policy, approval, and audit layer around consequential actions — one that scores each proposed action against the seller’s own rules, holds consequential decisions for a person, and keeps the record that makes automated negotiation auditable.

Automate preparation, not accountability

CLOSINGMODE prepares or evaluates the action. People retain authority over consequential commitments. Autonomy expands only where performance and policy compliance have been demonstrated.

Why media ad sales first

Media sales is a strong starting point because every deal combines structured constraints — rates, availability, rights, evidence, and approval authority — with relationship-driven judgment.

Already running an agent?

Send CLOSINGMODE the brief, the relevant seller rules, and the proposed action. It returns approve, revise, hand off, or no-bid — with the checks and evidence behind the verdict. Evaluate your agent in the pilot.
